It's a New Year...
and the TL3 is getting back to work after hibernating a bit during the cold winter months. We did play a couple of winter shows, the coolest being the opening slot for The Long Ryders at The Earl in Atlanta on January 10. Check out the Tunes page for a couple of Youtube videos. Also on that page you'll find live videos for three new songs. Yep, we're starting to think about recording again... look for more news on the tape front in the future.
ReDistilled Sells out.... almost!
Rumor has it that there are only about 25 hard copies of ReDistilled left. We don't have a total yet, but it sounds like the project was a successful fundraiser for WUTK.... so much so that discussions are beginning to cook up Volume #2. Hurray for WUTK!
TimLee3 Contributes Track to WUTK Compilation
ReDistilled is the result of a lot of Knoxville musicians coming together to help an old friend, WUTK, the college radio station at the University of Tennessee. WUTK receives no funding from the university beyond space and power.
"Re-Distilled: 25 Years of Knoxville Rock" features 17 Knoxville artists covering songs by other Knoxville artists to celebrate a quarter-century-plus of "Local Music's Best Friend" at 90.3 on the dial in Knoxville (or WUTKradio.com online). In addition to the TL3's version of the RB Morris song, "Distillery" (featuring an appearance by Black Atticus), other tracks include Scott Miller (covering Taoist Cowboys), the original Superdrag lineup (1-900s), Mic Harrison & the High Score (Smokin' Dave) and former Judybats singer Jeff Heiskell's take on Tim & Susan's "Dead Guy Story." Buy one for yourself and several for friends; all proceeds go to keeping WUTK on the air.
To order a copy of the WUTK Radio benefit CD, click on the CD Baby or Disc Exchange logos below. And while you're at it, go listen to WUTK!
